Detail:  Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is being built on a six acre parcel along 450 feet of pristine beachfront on the famous Broadwalk in Hollywood, Florida. Construction commenced in 2013 with a 2015 completion date. The 350 room oceanfront resort will tower 17 stories above the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and include the following amenities: 350 Rooms and Suites with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway. Multiple Food and Beverage venues which include: Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Café, 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar, Jimmy’s Sunset Grill, License to Chill Rooftop Bar, Lone Palm Bar, Changes in Attitude Lobby Bar, Landshark Bar & Grill and boat dock along the Intercoastal Waterway. Extensive water recreations areas with multiple pools, Dual Flow riders, beachfront cabanas and entertainment venues, 15,000 square foot world class spa and fitness center, more than 7,000 square feet of retail space, Johnson Street Amphitheatre & great lawn entertainment venue, more than 30,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and a 1,056 space parking garage. In this role, the General Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the property with responsibility for leading all aspects of the branded hotel operation, to include employee and guest satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and delivering a satisfactory return on investment to ownership. Job Requirements: The General Manager will be responsible for successfully integrating the established brand standards with the development of the brand’s culture; proven success in position of GM in a 4-5 diamond resort, preferably in Florida; strong working knowledge of Rooms Division Operations; strong working knowledge of Food & Beverage Operations; strong working knowledge of Sales and Marketing; effective ability to build, motivate and mentor executive and management teams to maintain optimal department operation and staff development; ability and willingness to “think outside the box” while establishing and maintaining high hospitality standards; analytical approach to problem solving; ability to work, communicate and maintain positive relations; strong computer, spreadsheet and budgeting skills; hotel PMS experience required; software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Lotus and Word; effective written and verbal communication skills exercising patience, tact and diplomacy; multi-tasking. Experience: 5+ years as General Manager in 4-5 Diamond, Resort environment; 7+ years of progressive Resort experience with focus on Rooms and working knowledge of Food and Beverage and Sales & Marketing; prior opening experience as a GM in a resort environment preferred.
